One week after going without music/podcasts/distractions in my car, it should come as no surprise that I feel a lot more calm and clear-headed.

I’ve even managed to get rid of a nervous habit I’ve had for ages now, which is fiddling with my beard (not exactly safe these days) and chewing the inside of my cheek (which my dentist comments on every visit).

There’s something to be said about relinquishing control of my music listening –- now that I’m not liking and skipping songs, searching for the right playlist, etc -– as well as turning off the stream of constant input my phone gives me.
